Predict the Hockey World Championships to win a Samsung Galaxy S8!

For all of us who loves hockey, it's a bit sad that the hockey season all around the world is approaching its end, but soon you will be able to manage your own hockey team on your smartphone or tablet - and play matches all year round. In anticipation of the release of World Hockey Manager we are challenging readers and followers during the Hockey World Championships in a contest with the opportunity to win the new Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone!

To win the phone, just follow World Hockey Manager on social media, share the post and predict who will finish 1-4th in the World Championships before May the 17th. The first one who made the correct predictions wins!

Use this link to enter the contest and don't forget to share it: goo.gl/q7hpfa

Game on!
It will be possible to submit predictions until May 17th, just before the semi-finals starts. Remember, there are over 700 possible combinations only between the six highest-ranked teams and if one of the main favorites misses the semi-finals, then probably most of the early entries will be out of the contest. So it might be a good strategy to wait and send in your predictions later in the tournament. But of course, if you want to sign up the best teams in your top-four, then you better hurry up :) Good luck!

Tournament format
The 16 teams are divided into these two groups for the Preliminary Round.

Group A (Cologne)

  • Russia

  • United States

  • Sweden

  • Slovakia

  • Germany

  • Latvia

  • Denmark

  • Italy

Group B (Paris)

  • Canada

  • Finland

  • Czech Republic

  •  Switzerland

  • Belarus

  • Norway

  • France

  • Slovenia

The top-four ranked teams of each group advance to the quarter-finals that will be played cross-over. The first-place team in each preliminary-round group plays the fourth-place team of the other group, while the second-place team plays the third-place team of the other group. 1A-4B, 2A-3B, 1B-4A, 2B-3A. The winning teams advance to the semi-finals.
The winning teams of the semi-final games advance to the gold medal game while the semi-final losing teams play for bronze.
